Tone Wrangler
Terms of Use (EULA)
Last updated October 12, 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms of Use are the end user licence agreement (EULA) for the Tone Wrangler app. They are also referred to as our Terms of Service. By downloading or using Tone Wrangler you agree to them.
Where these terms are silent, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
2. What Tone Wrangler is
Tone Wrangler is an AI-assisted guitar and bass tone assistant. You tell it a song and the gear you own, and it returns suggested amp and pedal settings, a suggested signal chain order, power requirements for your pedalboard, and playing notes.
Everything Tone Wrangler returns is a suggestion for creative and informational use. Results vary with your instrument, amplifier, room, pickups, strings, and playing style. Tone Wrangler is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any instrument, amplifier, or pedal manufacturer, artist, or record label. Brand and product names are used only to identify equipment.
3. Using the app safely
Power supply and voltage information is provided for convenience and may be incomplete or out of date. Always confirm voltage, polarity, and current draw against the label on your own pedal and the manufacturer's documentation before plugging anything in. You are responsible for how you power and connect your equipment.
You agree not to misuse the service: no automated scraping, no attempts to bypass purchase or usage limits, no reverse engineering, and no uploading of content you do not have the right to submit.
4. Purchases and subscriptions
Tone Wrangler offers optional paid access. Subscriptions are available on monthly and annual terms. The current price of every plan is shown in the app before you buy.
Subscriptions do not include a free trial. Your Apple ID is charged the full plan price shown in the app when you confirm the purchase.
Where Pro is described as unlimited, it is subject to a fair-use cap of 50 tone generations per day, which resets at midnight on your device's calendar day.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the same price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage subscriptions and turn off auto-renew in your Apple ID account settings after purchase. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Lifetime access bought before it was discontinued is a single purchase, is not a subscription, and remains valid. Tone credits from earlier tone-pack purchases remain usable until spent. All purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's Media Services Terms of Use. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us.
You can restore previous purchases at any time from the paywall or Settings.
5. Free generations and limits
Each new user receives exactly one free tone generation, however the gear for it was entered (searched, typed in, or scanned). After that generation completes, every further generation requires an active Pro subscription or Lifetime access. It is tied to your device and, once you sign in, to your account, so reinstalling the app or signing in on another device does not grant another. Free and promotional generations, daily wiring-plan allowances, and limited-run offers are provided at our discretion and may change or end at any time. They have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos and gear information you submit. You grant us a limited licence to process them solely to run the service, for example to identify a pedal from a photo and to generate your tone. You are responsible for having the right to submit anything you upload.
The tone settings, chain orders, and notes Tone Wrangler produces are yours to use freely, including commercially.
7. Availability and changes
The service depends on third-party AI providers and internet access, and may be unavailable, slow, or interrupted. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. If we make a material change to these terms, the updated version will be posted online with a new date.
8. Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for damage to equipment, hearing, or recordings, nor for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
