Tone Wrangler

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 12, 2026

1. The short version

Tone Wrangler does not ask for your name, address, or phone number, does not track you across other apps or websites, does not sell your personal information, and does not show third-party advertising.

2. What we collect

Anonymous device identifier: a random identifier generated on your device to keep your free generations, credits, and purchase access attached to your device. It is not your Apple ID and is not linked to your identity.

Gear and tone data: the gear you scan, type in, or save, the details you enter about it, the songs you request, and the tones generated for you. This is stored so your rig and saved tones work across sessions.

Photos you take or choose for gear identification: sent, only after you agree to an in-app notice the first time, to our processing service and to Anthropic, a third-party AI provider, to identify the equipment in them. They are used only for that purpose, are not linked to your identity, and are not used for advertising or included in analytics.

Purchase state: which subscription, lifetime access, or tone packs you hold, provided by RevenueCat and Apple. We never receive your full card number or Apple ID password.

De-identified usage events: counts such as generations started and completed, and error diagnostics, used to keep the service working.

Sign-in details, only if you choose to sign in: the email address supplied by the sign-in provider, used to link your access across devices and, for the app owner only, to reach a private administration area.

Shared tone sheets: when you text or share a tone sheet, the tone printed on it (song, artist, gear names, settings, and cues) is stored with a short link and QR code so anyone you send it to can open it on the web. It never includes photos, your email, or your name. Email us to remove a shared link.

3. What we never collect

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, health data, browsing history, or any advertising identifier, and we do not use tracking as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.

4. How your data is used

To generate tones, wiring plans, and power specs for the gear you confirmed; to enforce free-generation limits and honour purchases; to keep your saved rigs and tones; to diagnose faults and improve the accuracy of gear and power research.

Verified, published equipment specifications (for example a pedal's rated current draw) are cached and reused for everyone. That is product information, not personal information.

5. Who we share it with

Anthropic, to generate tone and gear responses. Supabase, for storage of rigs, tones, and access records. Cloudflare, for the service that runs the app's requests. RevenueCat and Apple, for purchase validation. Rork, for authentication when you choose to sign in.

These providers process data only to deliver the service. We may publish aggregated, anonymised trends about popular gear and tones. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

6. Retention and your choices

Rig and tone data is kept while your device is using the app. You can delete saved gear and tones inside the app at any time, and deleting the app removes locally stored data from your device.

If you signed in, you can delete your account inside the app at any time: tap the account button in the top-right corner of the WRANGLE tab and choose Delete Account. This immediately and permanently deletes your account, your sign-in identity and email, your synced rigs and tones, and your access records from our servers, and signs out every device using that account: any sign-in session issued before the deletion is refused from then on, and signing in again later starts a brand-new, empty account. Purchase receipts are kept for accounting and fraud prevention, and a one-way, non-reversible record that your one free tone was already used is kept so the same account cannot claim a second one. If you used Sign in with Apple, you can also remove Tone Wrangler from Settings > your name > Sign-In & Security > Sign in with Apple.

To request deletion of the anonymous server-side data associated with your device, or if you cannot use the in-app option, email us and we will delete it, normally within 30 days, subject to the same purchase-record exception.

7. Children

Tone Wrangler is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

8. Changes and contact

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted online with a new date. Privacy questions or deletion requests: info@nopermissionlabs.com.
